Tax Receipts

FaithAdmin supports multi-country tax receipt configuration so your giving statements meet local regulatory requirements.

Configuring Tax Receipts

Navigate to Settings > Tax Receipts to set up your organization's tax receipt information. See Tax Receipt Settings for the full configuration guide.

Key Fields

  • Organization Legal Name -- The official registered name of your organization (may differ from your display name)
  • Tax ID Label -- What your country calls the tax identifier (e.g., "EIN" in the US, "Charity Number" in Canada, "ABN" in Australia)
  • Tax ID Number -- Your organization's tax identification number
  • Address -- The registered address of your organization
  • Currency -- The currency used on receipts (affects formatting of amounts)
  • Deductibility Statement -- The legal text confirming tax-deductible status (e.g., "No goods or services were provided in exchange for this contribution")

Multi-Country Support

FaithAdmin adapts receipt formatting for different countries:

  • United States -- EIN, 501(c)(3) deductibility language
  • Canada -- Charity Registration Number, CRA-compliant receipts
  • United Kingdom -- Charity Commission number, Gift Aid references
  • Australia -- ABN, Deductible Gift Recipient status
  • Other countries -- Customize the tax ID label and deductibility statement to match your local requirements

How Receipts Are Used

The tax receipt configuration is applied to:

  • Giving Statements -- Year-end donation summaries
  • Individual donation receipts (if enabled)
  • PDF exports

Best Practices

  • Verify your tax ID and legal name with your accountant before configuring.
  • Update the deductibility statement if your tax status changes.
