Giving Statements

Giving statements are PDF documents summarizing a member's donations over a period. They are essential for tax season and help members track their charitable giving.

Generating Statements

For Admins

  1. Navigate to Giving > Statements.
  2. Select the year for the statement period.
  3. Choose which members to generate statements for:
    • All members with giving records for that year
    • Individual members by searching and selecting specific people
  4. Click Generate.
  5. Download the PDF statements.

For Members

Members can generate their own statements through the Self-Service Portal:

  1. Log in and go to My Profile.
  2. Navigate to the giving section.
  3. Select the year.
  4. Click Download Statement.

What the Statement Includes

Each statement contains:

  • Organization name and address (from your Tax Receipt Settings)
  • Member name and address
  • Itemized list of all donations for the selected year
  • Date, amount, and fund for each donation
  • Total giving for the year
  • Tax deductibility statement (configured in settings)

Customization

The statement header and footer pull from your Tax Receipt Settings:

  • Organization legal name
  • Tax ID / EIN
  • Address
  • Deductibility statement
  • Currency format

Batch Generation

For year-end, you can generate statements for all donors at once, then distribute them via email or print.

Generate and distribute giving statements in early January so members have them ready for tax filing season.
