Payment Settings

Payment Settings is where you enable and configure the payment gateways your organization uses to accept online donations.

Accessing Payment Settings

Navigate to Settings > Payments to see all available gateways and their current status.

Stripe Connect Onboarding

Stripe Connect is the recommended gateway with a guided setup:

  1. Click Connect with Stripe.
  2. You are redirected to Stripe's onboarding flow.
  3. Enter your organization's business details, bank account, and identity verification.
  4. Once complete, you are redirected back to FaithAdmin.
  5. Stripe is now enabled and ready to process donations.

Stripe Connect handles PCI compliance, so you do not need to manage card data directly.

MercadoPago OAuth

MercadoPago uses OAuth for a simple connection:

  1. Click Connect with MercadoPago.
  2. Authorize FaithAdmin in your MercadoPago account.
  3. Once authorized, the gateway is active.

Manual Credential Entry

For other gateways (PayPal, PayFast, BOG, TBC, Webmoney, Bank Transfer):

  1. Click on the gateway you want to configure.
  2. Enter the required credentials:
    • PayPal: Client ID, Client Secret
    • PayFast: Merchant ID, Merchant Key, Passphrase
    • BOG: Client ID, Client Secret
    • TBC: Client ID, Client Secret
    • Webmoney: Purse ID, Secret Key
    • Bank Transfer: Bank name, account number, routing number, instructions
  3. Toggle the gateway to Enabled.
  4. Click Save.

Managing Multiple Gateways

  • Enable as many gateways as you need simultaneously.
  • Donors choose their preferred payment method during checkout.
  • Disable a gateway at any time without losing historical transaction data.

Testing

After configuring a gateway, make a small test donation to verify:

  • The payment processes successfully
  • The donation record is created in FaithAdmin
  • Funds arrive in your bank account

For most organizations, Stripe Connect plus Bank Transfer covers the majority of donors. Add regional gateways only if your members need them.
