Membership Dues

The Dues module helps organizations that collect regular membership fees, whether for synagogue membership, mosque contributions, temple dues, or nonprofit memberships.

Dues Categories

  1. Navigate to Dues from the sidebar.
  2. Click Add Category to create a dues type:
    • Name -- e.g., "Annual Membership," "Family Dues," "Student Rate"
    • Amount -- The standard amount for this category
    • Frequency -- Annual, semi-annual, quarterly, or monthly
    • Description -- Optional explanation of what the dues cover

Assigning Dues to Members

  1. Open a dues category or navigate to a member's profile.
  2. Assign members to a dues category.
  3. Each assignment tracks:
    • Amount owed
    • Amount paid
    • Outstanding balance
    • Payment history

Payment Tracking

As payments come in (online or manually recorded), FaithAdmin updates the member's dues balance automatically:

  • Paid -- Full amount received
  • Partial -- Some amount paid, balance remaining
  • Overdue -- Payment period has passed without full payment
  • Exempt -- Member has been granted an exemption

Financial Aid

For members who need assistance:

  • Mark a member's dues as reduced with a custom amount
  • Grant a full exemption from dues
  • Add notes explaining the arrangement (visible only to admins)

Reporting

View dues status across your organization:

  • Total dues expected vs. collected
  • List of members with outstanding balances
  • Payment history per member
  • Export dues data to CSV

Create separate dues categories for different membership levels (individual, family, student, senior) rather than adjusting amounts per person.
