Pledges

Pledges let members commit to giving a specific amount over time. FaithAdmin tracks pledge fulfillment automatically as donations come in.

Creating a Pledge

  1. Navigate to Pledges from the sidebar.
  2. Click Add Pledge.
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Member -- Select the person making the pledge
    • Total Amount -- The total pledged amount
    • Fund -- Which fund the pledge is directed to
    • Start Date and End Date -- The pledge period
    • Frequency -- How often the member plans to give
  4. Click Save.

Frequency Options

Pledges support the following frequencies:

  • One-time -- A single lump-sum commitment
  • Weekly -- Every week
  • Bi-weekly -- Every two weeks
  • Monthly -- Once per month
  • Quarterly -- Every three months
  • Annually -- Once per year

Fulfillment Tracking

FaithAdmin calculates fulfillment automatically:

  • Amount Pledged -- The total commitment
  • Amount Given -- Sum of donations applied to this pledge
  • Remaining -- How much is left to fulfill
  • Percentage Complete -- Visual progress indicator

Auto-Status Updates

Pledge status updates automatically based on fulfillment:

  • Active -- Pledge is in progress, within the date range
  • Fulfilled -- Total donations have met or exceeded the pledge amount
  • Overdue -- The end date has passed without full fulfillment
  • Cancelled -- Manually cancelled by an admin

Viewing Pledges

The pledge list shows all commitments with their status, progress, and donor. Filter by status, fund, or date range. Export to CSV for reporting.

Review the pledges list monthly to identify members who may have fallen behind, so you can follow up with a personal note.
