Feature Toggles

Feature toggles let you enable or disable specific modules to keep the interface clean and focused on what your organization actually uses.

Core Features

These features are available to all plans and can be individually toggled:

  • People -- Member profiles and directory
  • Families -- Family management
  • Groups -- Groups and ministries
  • Events -- Event management
  • Services -- Recurring service management
  • Attendance -- Attendance tracking
  • Calendar -- Calendar view
  • Giving -- Donation management
  • Forms -- Custom form builder
  • Tasks -- Task management

Faith-Specific Features

These features are relevant to specific faith traditions:

Auto-Activation by Pack

When you select an organization type / Terminology Pack, relevant features are enabled automatically:

  • Islamic pack enables Prayer Times, Zakat Calculator, Scripture Memorization
  • Jewish pack enables Hebrew Calendar, Memorials, Lifecycle Events, Service Honors
  • Christian pack enables standard features without faith-specific modules
  • Secular pack disables all faith-specific features

Manual Override

You are not locked into the defaults:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Features.
  2. Toggle any feature on or off regardless of your terminology pack.
  3. Changes take effect immediately.

For example, a Christian church could enable the Lifecycle Events feature if they want to track confirmations and baptisms using that system.

Effect of Disabling a Feature

Disabling a feature:

  • Removes it from the sidebar navigation
  • Hides related pages and menu items
  • Does not delete any existing data -- re-enabling the feature restores all data

Start with fewer features enabled and add more as your team gets comfortable. A simpler interface reduces training time.
