Tax Receipt Settings
Configure the information that appears on giving statements and tax receipts. These settings ensure your receipts meet local tax authority requirements.
Configuration Fields
Navigate to Settings > Tax Receipts to configure:

Your organization's official registered legal name. This may differ from your display name (e.g., "First Baptist Church of Springfield Inc." vs. "First Baptist Church").
Tax ID Label
What your country calls the tax identification number:
- United States: "EIN" (Employer Identification Number)
- Canada: "Charity Registration Number"
- United Kingdom: "Charity Number"
- Australia: "ABN" (Australian Business Number)
- Other: Enter your local equivalent
Tax ID Number
Your organization's actual tax identification number.
Address
The registered address of your organization. This appears on all receipts and statements.

The currency used for receipt amounts. This determines the currency symbol and formatting (e.g., USD shows "$1,000.00", EUR shows "1.000,00 EUR").
Deductibility Statement
The legal text confirming the tax-deductible status of donations. Common examples:
- US: "No goods or services were provided in exchange for this contribution. [Organization Name] is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization."
- Canada: "Official receipt for income tax purposes."
- UK: "Gift Aid declaration: I confirm I am a UK taxpayer."
Footer Text
Optional additional text that appears at the bottom of receipts, such as a thank-you message or organizational mission statement.
Where These Settings Are Used
The tax receipt configuration appears on:
- Giving Statements
- Individual donation receipts
- PDF exports of financial records
Saving Changes
Click Save after making changes. Updated settings apply to all future statements and receipts. Previously generated PDFs are not retroactively updated.
Have your accountant or legal advisor review the tax receipt settings before generating statements. Incorrect tax ID or deductibility language could create compliance issues.
