Scripture Memorization

The Scripture Memorization module (also known as Hifz tracking) helps Islamic schools and organizations track Quran memorization progress for each student.

How It Works

The Quran is divided into 30 Juz (parts). FaithAdmin tracks each student's progress through all 30 Juz, recording which portions have been memorized, reviewed, and approved by a teacher.

Setting Up Hifz Tracking

  1. Ensure the Scripture Memorization feature is enabled under Settings > Features.
  2. Navigate to School > Hifz (or Scripture Memorization in your sidebar).

Per-Student Progress

For each student, the tracker shows:

  • All 30 Juz listed in order
  • Status per Juz -- Not started, In Progress, Memorized, Reviewed
  • Overall progress -- Percentage of the Quran memorized
  • Current Juz -- Which part the student is currently working on

Teacher Assignment

Each student can be assigned a Hifz teacher:

  • The teacher reviews and approves memorization of each Juz
  • Teachers can view all their assigned students' progress in one place
  • Multiple students can be assigned to the same teacher

Recording Progress

  1. Open a student's Hifz record.
  2. Select the Juz being evaluated.
  3. Update the status:
    • In Progress -- Student is currently memorizing this Juz
    • Memorized -- Student has completed initial memorization
    • Reviewed -- Teacher has verified the memorization
  4. Add notes about the quality of recitation or areas to improve.
  5. Save.

Progress Dashboard

The Hifz dashboard provides an overview of:

  • All students and their overall memorization progress
  • Students grouped by teacher
  • Students who have completed all 30 Juz

This feature is most relevant for Islamic organizations. It is automatically enabled when you select the Islamic terminology pack and can be toggled off under Feature Toggles.
