Giving Reports

Giving reports provide visual insights into your organization's financial health, helping leadership understand donation trends and make informed decisions.

Monthly Giving Chart​

The primary giving report shows a bar or line chart of total donations by month:

  • View giving trends over the past 12 months
  • Identify seasonal patterns (end-of-year giving spikes, summer dips)
  • Compare month-to-month changes at a glance

Top Donors​

The top donors report ranks members by total giving:

  • See your top contributors for any time period
  • Useful for stewarding major donor relationships
  • Filter by fund to see top donors for specific initiatives
  • Privacy note: this report is only visible to admins

Year-over-Year Comparison​

Compare giving performance across years:

  • Side-by-side view of this year vs. last year by month
  • Quickly identify growth or decline in giving
  • Helps set realistic budgets for the coming year

Filtering Options​

All giving reports support filters:

  • Date Range -- Custom start and end dates
  • Fund -- Filter by specific fund (General, Building, Missions, etc.)
  • Payment Method -- Cash, check, online, bank transfer
  • Donor -- View giving history for a specific person

Using the Reports​

  • Board meetings -- Present monthly giving trends to your board or leadership
  • Budget planning -- Use year-over-year data to project future income
  • Campaign tracking -- Monitor giving to specific funds during fundraising campaigns
  • Pastoral care -- Identify members whose giving has dropped off significantly (may indicate disengagement or hardship)

Exporting Report Data​

Report data can be exported to CSV for further analysis or inclusion in board presentations. Use Data Export for raw giving data.
