General Settings
General Settings control the foundational configuration of your FaithAdmin organization. Access them from Settings > General.
Organization Name
Your organization's display name appears throughout the platform:
- Dashboard header
- Member-facing pages and the self-service portal
- Giving statements and tax receipts
- Email communications
To change it, edit the Organization Name field and click Save.
The organization name in General Settings is your display name. For legal/tax purposes, set your official legal name in Tax Receipt Settings.
Timezone
The timezone setting affects all date and time displays across FaithAdmin:
- Event start and end times
- Attendance record timestamps
- Scheduled workflow execution times
- Calendar displays
Select your timezone from the dropdown. All existing records continue to display correctly -- only the display format changes.
Organization Type
The organization type determines your default Terminology Pack and which faith-specific features are enabled:
- Church -- Christian terminology, enables services and tithes
- Mosque -- Islamic terminology, enables prayer times and Zakat
- Synagogue -- Jewish terminology, enables Hebrew calendar and service honors
- Temple -- Hindu or Buddhist terminology
- Nonprofit -- Secular terminology
- Other -- Minimal defaults, fully customizable
Changing the organization type updates terminology across the platform and toggles faith-specific features. See Feature Toggles for fine-grained control.
Saving Changes
Click Save after making changes. Updates take effect immediately -- no restart or refresh required.
Set your timezone during initial setup and avoid changing it later, as it affects how all historical timestamps are displayed.
