Member Directory

The Member Directory provides a searchable, photo-based view of your congregation that members can access to find and connect with each other.

Accessing the Directory

  • Admins can access the directory from Directory in the sidebar.
  • Members see the directory through their self-service portal, if the feature is enabled.

Directory Features

  • Photo Grid -- Members with profile photos appear in a visual grid layout, making it easy to put names to faces.
  • Search -- Search by name to quickly find a specific person.
  • Group Filter -- Filter the directory by group to see only members of a specific ministry, team, or class.
  • Profile Cards -- Each card shows the member's name, photo, and basic contact information (based on privacy settings).

Privacy Controls

Members control what information appears in the directory through their privacy settings:

  • Show in Directory -- Members can opt out of appearing in the directory entirely.
  • Contact Visibility -- Members choose whether to display their email, phone number, or address.
  • Profile Photo -- Members decide whether their photo appears.

Admins can set default privacy preferences for new profiles under organization settings.

Admin vs. Member View

  • Admins see all profiles regardless of privacy settings, plus have access to edit and management functions.
  • Members only see profiles that have opted into directory visibility, and only the contact details each person has chosen to share.
